Adjunct Instructor, Health Information Technology

Position Description

JCC anticipates potential part-time openings for Health Information Technology (HIT) instructors for upcoming semesters (spring, summer, fall) on the Cattaraugs Campus. Class times and course coverage needs will vary from semester to semester.

This is a pool posting and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Applicants will be contacted on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Health Information Technology or a related field. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
• RHIT or RHIA credentials are required. Other relevant AHIMA, AAPC, or clinical certifications may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent professional experience in healthcare coding, CDI, compliance, or revenue cycle or HIM operations.
• Prior online teaching or training experience.
• Familiarity with online course delivery and learning management systems (e.g., Brightspace).
• Experience integrating healthcare technologies or emerging tools into instruction.
