DIRECTOR OF CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION

Nature and Scope of Job:
Responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the Curriculum and Instruction Department, which includes curriculum, instruction, staff development, and assessment. Demonstrating leadership in school improvement, program development and curriculum integration, grant integration, instruction, and application of technology across the curriculum. Evaluate and provide leadership for the overall instructional program of the district.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Hold a valid School Administrator certificate, Standard preferred, issued by NJDOE.
• Hold a Master's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Have at least five years of successful administration experience in public schools
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Knowledge of state assessment requirements
• Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness
• Ability to manage budget and personnel
• Ability to implement policy and procedures
• Ability to interpret data
• Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
• Have experience in curriculum writing
• Must have educational technology experience

Terms:

• Salary range of $155,000-$170,000, health benefits and sick, vacation and personal days provided
• 12-month position; Ability to work on site during the hours required (including some evenings)
• Reports to the Superintendent
