VLA Substitute Teacher

The Virtual Learning Academy (VLA) is seeking a substitute teacher to support students in grades 4-12.

Major Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons provided by the regular teacher using virtual platforms (e.g., Google Meet, Zoom, Google Classroom).
• Facilitate class discussions and activities in a remote setting.
• Take attendance and report absences.
• Monitor student participation and engagement during live sessions.
• Maintain a positive and respectful virtual classroom environment.
• Redirect off-task behavior and encourage participation.
• Assist students with basic technology issues.

• Three (3) Professional References Required - These must be filled out in the section of your application where requested.
• A copy of your diploma may be uploaded in place of transcripts if necessary

Min. Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred. Associate's degree considered.
• Access to a personal computer and a reliable internet connection.
• Experience working with students in a virtual or hybrid environment.
