Instructional Tutor

The Cooperstown Central School District is establishing a pool of certified teachers to provide tutoring services for students in both the Elementary and Jr./Sr. High School levels. Tutors will support students in general education and special education settings as needed.

Position Details

• Hours: 2–3 hours per day, up to 10–15 hours per week (depending on grade level and student needs)
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Compensation: $45 per hour

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized or small-group instruction to support student learning in core subject areas.
• Offer targeted academic assistance aligned with students’ classroom curriculum and learning goals.
• Communicate effectively with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate attendance and instructional records.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid New York State teaching certification (General Education and/or Special Education).
• Strong instructional and interpersonal skills.
