PAY SCALE: $56,000 - $63,000/Year, Based on Education and Experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Professional Development and Instructional Coaching in Math

TYPICAL DUTIES:

• Organize and implement high-quality professional development offerings in Math as requested by component districts and others.
• Coach teachers and support staffin classrooms and other school-based settings in order to ensure implementation of high-quality instruction.
• Provide instructional support in Math progressions, Math standards, practices and data driven instruction.
• Communicate effectively with various audiences through in-person and electronic means.
• Assist with the preparation and planning of short- and long-term professional development plans, using skills such as data analysis, research, and resource management.
• Continuously refine practices through the study of best practices in professional development, Mathematics and NYS initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned by Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development or Designee.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: 5 years minimum Elementary and/or Middle/High School Math Teaching experience preferred.

Education: Professional New York State Teaching Certification in Childhood Education (1-6), and/or Mathematics (5-9 or 7-12).
