PAY RANGE: $19.00 - $20.00/Hour, Based on Experience
CIVIL SERVICE TITLE(S): Security Worker
JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides security services organization-wide.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

• Monitors campus access through security gates, and allows access and departure from the campus to authorized personnel/students/visitors
• Monitors security cameras.
• Maintains operation of the security system.
• Conducts periodic rounds of the BOCES 2 campus to make sure all windows, doors and entrances are secure.
• Checks identification badges and verifies and authorizes personnel to access the BOCES 2 campus.
• Investigates disturbances.
• Attends BOCES 2 safety and security meetings as required.
• Provides verbal and written reports to BOCES 2 administration as required.
• Communicates information as necessary to BOCES 2 administration to maintain a safe and secure campus.
• Responds to security issues on the BOCES 2 campus and off-site, as requested.
• Serves on the BOCES 2 emergency response team.
• Other duties as assigned by the Safety and Security Coordinator.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess or meet requirements for Civil Service title of Security Worker.

High School Diploma or equivalency diploma;

Current registration as a Security Guard with the NYS Department of State. Valid NYS Driver's License
