ESL Lead Instructors Part-Time 2026-2027

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidate must be a NJ State Licensed teacher in an academic area at elementary or secondary level
• A valid NJ State DOE Supervisor Certificate is preferred but not required
• ESL Teaching experience is preferred but not required

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Availability for the duration of the program from September 2026 to June 2027
• Option #1: Saturday morning assignment from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
• Option #2: Evening assignment two nights per week 5:30 to 9 pm
• Multiple Positions Available. Sites include MCST- Denville Campus, Dover Middle School & Morristown High School

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a grant-funded program that provides free instruction and practice in English for students (16 and older) who wish to improve reading, speaking, writing, and listening skills

• Supervise and assist instructors who have direct responsibility for teaching assigned classes
• Facilitate communication to staff and students
• Provide technical assistance as needed
• Provide any and all information required by the Program Specialist/Coordinator for reports, etc.
• Input data into the LACES system (training provided)
• Facilitate registration of students which includes pre and post testing

COMPENSATION:

$40.00 per hour; benefits n/a
