District Coordinator of Payroll

Application Deadline: October 3, 2026
Reports to: Business Administrator, Assistant Business Administrator, or designee
Description: The district is seeking a full time Payroll Coordinator to serve the Board of Education office.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process semi-monthly payroll for District Employees in accordance with Federal, State, contractual and agenda guidelines.
  • Review and manage vouchers and timesheets, through Frontline (digital) to ensure compliance with proper authorizing signatures and contractual and agenda guidelines.
  • Verify all statutory and non-statutory deductions are properly withheld from gross wages and paid to appropriate vendors including union dues and voluntary insurance payments.
  • Maintain QuickBooks payroll agency account register.
  • Administer and enroll new staff in the State pension system, maintaining all certifications and applications for loans, withdrawals, transfers and retirement.
  • Provide information to new staff on federal, and state withholding forms, pension enrollment and deductions and voluntary insurances.
  • Provide information to all staff addressing questions related to payroll.
  • Prepare and process: semi-monthly tax payments, quarterly tax report, monthly pension payment and quarterly pension reports to State on individual deductions.
  • Prepare reports for annual IRS Form W-2 processing. Reconcile W-2's to adhere to deadlines.
  • Process information on Workers' Compensation issues and coordinate information between Business Administrator, Insurance carrier and broker, Health & Safety Officer and School Nurses.
  • Maintain all documentation for yearly audit. Respond to requests from auditors.
  • Prepare various, detailed reports on all compensation to be used by the Negotiations Committee.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Business Administrator/Board Secretary.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of software systems such as Systems 3000, Google and Excel (or equivalents) and excellent administrative skills
  • Strong analytical, communication, and human relations skills
  • Three or more years experience managing payroll preferred

Compensation: $75,000 to $93,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
