Reports to: Principal and District Supervisor of Visual and Applied Arts

Description: The district anticipates the need for a leave replacement teacher to teach FCS at Ramapo High School. Tentative dates are September 29 through October 27, 2026.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in Culinary Arts and FCS
• Design and supervise safe, inquiry-based laboratory experiments and investigations
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages inquiry, critical thinking, and respectful discussion
• Use a variety of formative and summative assessments to track student progress and adjust instruction
• Incorporate technology, project-based learning, and real-world applications into the curriculum
• Participate in faculty meetings, parent conferences, professional development, and school events
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Must hold or be immediately eligible for NJDOE certification in Family Consumer Sciences.
Compensation: Salary range is $311 to $340 per day, depending on level of experience and education.
