Summary: Responsible for the management of the Transportation Department

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Supervise mechanics, secretary, drivers, & aides
• Create and manage routes (regular, special ed, athletic, & field trips)
• Maintain bus fleet in coordination with mechanics including routine maintenance, Bus Replacement Plan, and annual ISP inspection
• Maintain new driver training program
• Manage student discipline issues in coordination with building principals
• Positive interaction with parents/guardians
• Assist Superintendent during times of inclement weather delay/closures
• All other necessary duties as assigned by Supervisor

• Employee Requirements
• School Transportation experience preferred
• Possess or willingness to obtain CDL
• Maintains own regular and prompt attendance
• Maintains appropriate appearance
• Promotes good public relations for the School Corporation and community
• Remains free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the corporation

Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises all Transportation Department employees
